ABOUT WHIMSY NAIL CO.
The name "Whimsy" comes from a wonderful gentleman I supported through my work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). When he tried to say my name, "Lindsey," it sounded like "Whimsy" — and it made my heart smile. Whimsy Nail Co. was born from that sweet connection.
But Whimsy isn't just a nail brand. It's proof that a business can do both: deliver a premium, professional-quality product and create real change in the world. Think Ben & Jerry's, but make it nails. We believe you shouldn't have to choose between something that performs beautifully and something that stands for something bigger.
My dream is to blend my love for nails and dip powder with meaningful employment opportunities for people with I/DD. As Whimsy grows, my hope is to create jobs that match individuals' skills and help them truly thrive, not just participate.
This isn't capitalism padding the pockets of the wealthy. It's a small business built on purpose, community, and a little bit of magic.
